PANASONIC BLU RAY PLAYER DMP-BD60 FIRMWARE UPDATE
This is definitely a good low-budget player. Some buyers will be disappointed that there isn’t any support for the major movie rentals by mail company’s streaming video, but that doesn’t mean this player isn’t a very good Blu-ray or DVD player and in reality the Amazon video on demand library is pretty nice. I do not have Roxio or Windows XP. The update has fixed the appalling out of sync playback caused by the last update, and seems to play recent BDs well. Had I been more patient I would have timed the loading and other operations before the download, I would then have before and after statistics and know if the early critiques of loading were still valid. I tried it 5 times and it failed all the time.

Get fast answers from reviewers. As far as it goes, it does annoy me, but honestly for the quality of the player and the price, I can learn to be patient with it. Also rethink the upgrade of your AVR, considering costs, quality, how many bllu you’ll use it, etc. Several of the BR’s that wouldn’t play correctly in the Panasonic have run through the replacement Sony S just fine, so it’s definitely not the discs that are at fault.

Here is the direct link to Panasonic’s site for the firmware update nlu the US version of this player: I had converted to all HDMI so this low cost model seems preferable. Factory reset doesn’t do it. I basically just wanted to be able to watch Blu-Ray movies and watch Netflix. The Panny DB60 is at least as good. I hereby confirm that I have read and understood the forum rules. I was having problems playing some of the newer blurays discs and thought a FW update may correct dnp-bd60 I swapped ethernet cables with our Xbox and get internet connection there so it is not that the router or cable are bad.
I’ve noticed that more and more of the newer Blu Ray discs that we have bought are having issues playing in the player. Wow, I gave up on hoping for a firmware update after no update put out for years, leaving me blk discs that wouldn’t read. As far as I could tell the only advantage of the next more expensive panaxonic is that it could accomodate analog connections.
Can someone offer recommendations?
I read everywhere that this Panny produced an exceptional picture. Hence, a lot of trial and bpu experimentation to come up with settings that give natural sound.
